Thanksgiving Volunteer Information

Join us for a special community wide Thanksgiving

The Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office will host its Annual Sheriff's Thanksgiving Dinner Celebration on Thanksgiving Day; November 25, 2021. Due to Covid-19, we will be delivering food this year. If you are able to help deliver food, we will ask you to commit to picking up and delivering meals on the morning of Thanksgiving Day. Meals will be picked up at 3000 Perdido Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. We are asking volunteers to arrive at their assigned times between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. All Volunteers will receive 4 hours of community service for their efforts, via email.

We continue to have a need for delivery drivers, as we are still receiving meal requests. If you are able to drive this year, please register below and you will be assigned a meal as soon as we can. If you have a group that is interested in helping to load cars, please email Anne McKinley as soon as possible. IMPORTANT: Please provide an email address. All communication and service hours credit will take place via email this year. Please read the attached documents in full before you commit. If you are unable to deliver after signing up, please let us know by noon on November 17 by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or calling 504-202-9268.
