Also offers tips to avoid foreclosure
WHAT: |
Are you interested in purchasing a foreclosed property at a Sheriff's auction? Do you have questions about the bidding process or how to pay for a winning bid? Get answers directly from Sheriff Marlin N. Gusman who will make a presentation on the foreclosure process. Sheriff Gusman will show participants how to navigate the OPSO website (www.opso.us) which has a listing of foreclosed properties. The Sheriff will also offer tips on how homeowners can avoid foreclosure. A foreclosure is a legal act where the property used as collateral in the mortgage document is sold to satisfy the debt when the owner defaults on the mortgage payments. Ownership is then passed to the holder of the mortgage or a third-party that has now purchased the property at a foreclosure sale. |
